He brings 10 years of experience in commercial development at his family’s business Alliance Ventures, a property development company located in Alliance. He specializes in commercial properties, construction management and property management.

In addition to his career in real estate, Mastroianni is the founder of Anni & Anni Shades, an eyewear manufacturing company specializing in handcrafted wooden frames, which he continues to manage.

A native of Alliance, Mastroianni graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Louisville, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Ohio University. North Canton, Ohio – DEHOFF REALTORS^® recently welcomed Janet Horning as its newest real estate professional.  Prior to becoming a REALTOR^®, Horning resided and worked in the Stark County area for the past 16 years.  She has held positions of Contract Analyst, Client Service Manager and Director of Sales. 

Horning graduated from Central Christian High School in Kidron, earned numerous certifications in Business Leadership and Management from Kent State Corporate University, and completed the Real Estate Certification program at Hondros College of Business.

She and her husband, Dan, have two children.  Their daughter resides in Sarasota, Florida, and their son proudly serves in the US Army.  Horning is an active member of the Blue Star Mothers of America, a group for women with children serving in the military, and a strong supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  She enjoys traveling with her husband, cooking, and participating in any kind of competitive game.

Nobles Pond Swan Saga

This spring a pair of swans have again been nesting on Nobles Pond. About a week and a half ago three or more babies swans were hatched. For reasons we will explain later, on Monday morning the swan family decided to seek higher ground and migrated to the Foxchase area. At one point traffic was stopped on Foxchase because the swan family was blocking the street. Some reported seeing as many as four baby swans in the morning but by afternoon only one baby swan was left. Some suspect the hawks. By afternoon mother and father and one baby swan had taken residence on the devils strip of grass on Foxchase at the corner of Chillingsworth, and were not bothered by having several concerned neighbors hovering near them.

Mothers swan was limping and appeared to be injured and a number of residents sought help from a number of Stark County animal aid organizations such as the Wilderness Center only to find that they only care for animals that are native to Stark County and swans are not in that category. They did learn though from one of the organizations that snapping turtles have become very aggressive this season and that may have been the reason the swans left the pond.

Finally one of the neighbors who has a friend in the critter control business called him for help. They netted mother and baby swan and removed the fishing line from mother swan’s legs making her a much happier critter. Father swan did not like being netted and finally critter control resorted to carrying him to the pond. See the attached photograph.The swan family has been returned to Nobles Pond and so far seems to have readapted to its old surroundings. This morning I saw mother and baby swan swimming in the middle of the pond.

Fisher passionately volunteers for several organizations including Ronald McDonald House, the Share-A-Christmas toy donation program, and the Cleveland Clinic where she shares her own experience of living with Crohn’s disease with other young patients.

She is an avid tennis player, bicyclist and Jimmy Buffett enthusiast.  As a “parrot head” she travels around the country visiting Margaritaville restaurants and attending Buffett concerts.  She also enjoys painting and exploring abandoned properties to gain inspiration for her artwork.
